Our partnership supports the production of the documentary film, Underwater Dreams, which seeks to inspire policy makers and thought leaders to bring more and better STEM education to all students.

Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors

Partner since 2014

 

Engages parents of 0- 5-year-olds through an evidence-based, comprehensive training program developed by and for Latino parents. Since its founding, Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors has served 62,000 parents through 400 family-serving organizations.

 

Our partnership supports a curriculum refresh, including the addition of new early learning research. 

Acelero Learning

Partner since 2012

 

Brings a relentless focus on positive family and child outcomes to close the achievement gap and build a better future for children, families, and communities served by the Head Start program.

 

Our partnership supports Acelero’s growth and impact strategy, including piloting new innovations at its centers, training and technical assistance, and implementing a robust affiliate network.

African Leadership Academy

Partner since 2009

 

Educates Africa’s most promising young leaders in 11th and 12th grade through a rigorous academic curriculum and opportunities for leadership, entrepreneurship and service.

 

The African Leadership Academy is a Bezos Scholars Program partner. Our partnership supports the African Leadership Academy’s efforts to develop and connect the next generation of African leaders. 

Alliance for Education

Partner since 2011

 

Secures seed capital for innovations in education and fosters city-wide support for excellence in Seattle Public Schools to help all children fulfill their potential as learners.

 

Our partnership supported the creation and implementation of the Seattle Teacher Residency (STR), an Urban Teacher Residency Program hosted at the University of Washington in partnership with Seattle Public Schools and Seattle Education Association. STR prepares teachers for successful careers in Seattle’s highest need schools. Our current grant supports laying the groundwork for expansion to additional school districts in the greater Seattle area.
